So if you are an Instagram owner, you know that the app allows you to post things known as Stories: a 24 hour long picture. Many people post song covers, inspirational quotes, yet recently there's been many that have said "This video produces oxygen"
The source is from Treedom. Founded in Tuscany in 2010, Treedom promotes agroforestry projects, in particular the planting of fruit trees, and offers innovative solutions for green branding, green communication, stakeholders engagement and sustainability strategies, according to B Corporation.
So why Instagram stories? Earth day is Monday, April 22nd. To celebrate, Treedom is pledging to plant one tree for every 1,000 views their Instagram video gets. It currently stands at over 7.5 million views. You share it on your story, it gets more views. By April 22nd, they hope to have enough views to plant a significant amount of trees.
To do the math, 7,500,000/1,000= 7,500 trees so far. A blogger doing math? Unheard of.
(This is an estimate. The number is a bit higher than 7.5 million)
A smart use of social media, head over to @treedom_trees on Instagram now to get those views up and help save the planet!
