Ever wonder what a dog with two tails would look like? Well, I'm here to help put that image in your head, even though it won't be what you're expecting.
Abandoned at only 10 weeks old, this little guy was found on the side of the road in Missouri and taken in to Mao's Mission, an animal care location specifically for animals in need. Named "Narwhal", the little puppy has no pain from this special appendage at all!
In fact, veterinarians have said that there was no medical reason to remove the tail at all. He's a normal stray pup who just has a really cool birthmark I guess.
I looked it up, and unfortunately it does not wag like his normal tail. Bummer.
You could imagine the social media BOOM of a heartfelt story like this. With good reason too, as Narwhal will now most likely find a family once he's older and doctors can make sure this second tail of his won't be an issue when he's older.
The x-rays are pretty intriguing to look at too. Hopefully, Narwhal and his tails find a home in the nearby future, but a sweet story like this was just too hard not to write about.
