The Bears-Rams game is stressing me out to the point where I need to step back and ease my mind with a different piece. Plus, I haven't done a sports article in a while. What's wrong with me?
What's wrong with the Chicago Bulls? They currently sit at 6-21 on the season, the worst record in the Eastern Conference, they fired head coach Fred Hoieberg, and just were handed the worst franchise loss in history from the Celtics, 133-77.
I'm not saying they could use Khalil Mack, but #52 would probably be a monster in the post. Just saying.
It's a mess to be a basketball fan for the city of Chicago. So is there an upside? What can we hope for? That's where I come in, and maybe I can shed some light on the very dysfunctional program (maybe). Plus, cool pictures!
ZACH LAVINE: He's a walking highlight reel, pulling out dunks left and right. He's an offensive machine, and paired up with the right small forward, he could make Chicago's backcourt lethal.
THE RETURN OF THE FINNISHER:
Lauri's back, baby! Seeing #24 strap up again was a relief. Besides hitting the game winner against OKC (the 2nd best team in the west, btw), his ability to spread the floor and finish will make the team more competitive.
TANK FOR ZION:
Right now, Chicago would own the rights to a top 3 pick in the 2019 draft. Would we realistically get Zion? Not likely, unless Phoenix doesn't want an even better front court. But the potential of RJ Barrett or Cam Reddish in our backcourt with Lavine and Dunn? Our last Duke draft pick has been doing well (I see you Wendell Carter!). So another pick from the same school? Sign me up!
CHEAP TICKETS:
Hey, the United Center is still a fun atmosphere to be in. Tickets on SeatGeek are as low as $13 for a game. It's a pretty cheap idea for an easy date night for you broke college students (I am one of you. Small part of me is hoping this blog thing starts paying the bills).
YOUTH: Look, this team is inexperienced. But they are a young group of athlete's with good chemistry. With the right coaching, some veteran help, and the proper moves in the draft, this team will shine once again. Golden State won't be good forever, I promise.
The good always comes after the bad, right?
