Picture this: you're sitting in darkness, sunk into a comfy chair, dim lights to your sides as you look up into what appears to be a large screen. A flash of light shoots from behind you, and a motion picture appears in front of your eyes. The screen shows an African savannah, with the sun beginning to rise. Soon, a familiar noise begins to play. "AH ZAEBENYA" echoes through the area, and you realize now that isn't a dream. The Lion King is back!
That was the most I've invested into an introduction. For one, that is the proper spelling of the iconic song. Second, I'm assuming they'll play the song. Third, that was a pretty good visualization eh?
All of this aside, Disney might actually be the most intelligent entertainment company EVER. CGI has developed so much in the movie business, and with the plethora of OG movies at disposal, Disney fans should be very excited for the future of films.
The trailer (yes, I'm finally getting to that) was released November 23rd, and was it ACCURATE. Below will be a link from Twitter of the official trailer for the few who haven't seen it, and the many who want to rewatch it.

What I really wanna address is the CGI, again. Because man, this image of Simba is CLEAN
I also gotta bring up the cast. Although not a part of the trailer, I give Disney major props for bringing in the level of talent they did.
The trailer didn't reveal a lot from the movie. Obviously, majority of viewers have seen the original 1993 version (ya, it's been 25 years. Crazy stuff). What really stood out was that it was accurate from the original opening scene. That brings a lot of hope for those who are expecting this film to reach the standards.

Blogger's bias coming in again, as I am a bit nervous for this film. Yes, the trailer shows potential, but movie trailers are meant to show what the audience wants. Many aspects of the original film may not appear in this one, which gets OG fans riled up.
If "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" isn't played, I will be extremely upset.
What I will say is that Disney was successful with its first remake, The Jungle Book. Rotten Tomatoes rated it at an incredible 95%, with an 86% audience interest. I personally didn't enjoy it, but maybe I'm just one of the Disney fans who may need to embrace the future (probably won't get over that).
That's the biggest point: the future of Disney is here. We are in an era where fans of the originals can come together and enjoy their favorite films remastered for new fans. Lion King has the world's attention, but we'll have to wait till summer of 2019 to see if the hype was worth it.
