Meet Freight the Band!

I wanna just let the viewers know that when it comes to music, I couldn't identify a genre that I love the most. I'm no expert, but I am fortunate to have a family member in a band. Maybe this music thing might just work out.

Enough on me, let's talk about Freight! This idea came from my cousin, Matthew, who is a member of the band. Thanks cuz!

According to their website, freighttheband.com, the group was created summer of 2017. The band wanted to create new, high energy music never heard before, and as their site states, "No Freight show is complete without high energy, genre crossing, odd time signatures, blended with good ol fashioned rock and roll."

The band is made up of a total of five members. Caleb Vanden Eynden is the lead vocalist, but also plays the trumpet, Caleb Elliot and. Ethan Steinmetz rock it out as the guitarists, Adam Knox works the bass, and Matthew Stevenson is the little drummer boy, killing it on the drums. Of these five, Eynden, Elliot, and Stevenson are original founders.

This past spring, Freight released their first ever album called "Start the Night Off Easy". Published by Gem City Records, the album consists of original Freight music as well as recordings of popular songs. Their second album is in works, but the band released a single called "Welcome to the Ghetto", a reference to where this band was located, the University of Dayton.

Their music can be found via Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play, and Amazon, or by clicking this link: https://www.freighttheband.com/music/

Freight's music is a unique blend of the oldies with a mixture of new hits. The band plays with a ton of passion, but also a ton of fun. This group got together to create something new that they love, and so far I have been extremely impressed by their play.

Keep your eyes peeled for new Freight music coming soon, as this young and upcoming band continues to rock and roll!
