RIP Stan Lee

The world of comics, Hollywood, and movie goers are all struck with grief on this day. The death of comic book writer Stan Lee comes as a surprise. He was rushed to the hospital today and passed away. While his death is confirmed, the cause is currently unknown.

Who was Stan Lee? No other than the creator of Marvel Studios. Lee created the iconic and famous super heroes of Marvel today, such as Spider-Man, the X-men, Black Panther, etc. He made multiple cameos in Marvel movies; recently he was featured in Venom and Infinity War.

I'm gonna keep this post brief, as there really isn't a need for a lengthy informational bit. I do wanna share some personal thoughts about this. Growing up as a kid, one of my fondest memories was watching Iron Man for the first time with my dad. Besides how awesome that movie is, that memory was something I could never change, and it got me so into the world of super heroes.

The man created my favorite super hero, Spider-Man. Many admire the web slinger for his humor, but for me I was able to relate to Peter Parker on a more personal level because he acted like a kid (Tom Holland, you're doing a great job btw). Lee knew how to make his super heroes human: people can see themselves in these figurative people.

Stan Lee will forever be remembered for his work. People should take what he did as a lesson to be courageous, express their ideas, and be themselves. As Lee famously said in the original Spider Man movie, "I guess one person can make a difference"

(Avengers 4, there better be a serious tribute video to this man. I mean it).
